[NEWS] END SARS: Lagos state government shut down school over protest

Lagos State Government has directed all students in public and private schools to stay at home after the tensions generated by the protests End of SARS in the state.

The state Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, issued a directive on Monday stated that the safety of the students, parents and all the staff who work at the school was more important “at this critical time.”

He urged parents to monitor their environment and do not allow them to be used as a willing tool in the hands of people who might want to hijack the protest chaos to unleash on the public.

Commissioners also encourage schools to take advantage of another way of teaching and distance learning such as radio, television and online media as they have done during and after the corona-virus lock-down.

He further says a new date will be announced for the school resumption
