Lionel Messi Barcelona player won the best men the best of the FIFA Football Awards in Milan and Juventus Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool Virgil van Dijk lost the first prize.
It is the sixth time Messi has been voted the best player in the world.
Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp won coach of the year for men.
Klopp was nominated for the award along with two other chiefs La Liga – Pep Guardiola Manchester City and Tottenham Mauricio Pochettino.
